Harry Kafka, the accountancy marketing consultant and authorHarry Kafka was born in Finland in the 50's but has lived an international life with extended residence periods in no less than six countries around the world. Harry Kafka breathes marketing and has worked with marketing and advertising for more than three decades. Through many phases, Harry became aware of the needs of the accounting industry in that accounting services were one of the most challenging items of sale by comparison with any other business-to-business services. Harry Kafka received an assignment from an accounting practitioner who was more than sceptical about the outcome. Admittedly, it took Harry quite a long time to CRACK the mysteries of accountancy marketing, but at the end of a three-year pilot programme, more than 50 accounting firms were involved in a practical marketing project on day-to-day basis. It is the knowledge and experience from this project that has enabled Harry Kafka to author the definitive "bible" of accountancy marketing, namely the Modern Accountancy Marketing & Sales Course, a conglomeration of all the successful methods of client-acquisition within the accounting industry, all with ready-to-use (and tested) tools, instructions and even troubleshooting lists and live support. Today, Harry Kafka lives in West Sussex and enjoys life in Britain. He is available for lectures, seminars, workshops and consulting within the UK and appreciates contact from accounting professionals and associations for new ideas of cooperation. "It is my goal to help the accounting industry through helping their clients to understand and USE the vast knowledge of accounting professionals that now goes largely unutilised," Harry Kafka states in his publications. "It is silly that accountants long to use their expertise but most business owners have negative emotions about taxation AND they understand so little of accounting and finance that they AVOID accountants and/or talking about accounting, despite the fact that our surveys prove business owners want nothing MORE than to learn to control their finances better," Mr Kafka explains about the paradox of the market. "So most business owners WANT to be helped, most accounting professionals WANT to help... and yet it all goes pear-shaped somewhere in-between," Harry proclaims. Harry continues: "What's missing is a link of understanding, the correct way of approaching potential clients and tools to educate them into understanding the benefits they can acquire through utilising the expertise of their accountant. Then all we need is a make-sense system of exchange so the accountant gets paid for his knowledge and the client, having paid for the advice, also USES it..." "It's no good pontificating about traditional marketing techniques for accounting firms since I consider the present deadlock the RESULT of such antiquated techniques," Harry Kafka rounds up his thoughts. Harry Kafka's idea is to help accounting firms that want to be helped... and to do so with all his powers, giving the best support possible to those who entrust him with their marketing. Harry Kafka is married to Helena and has two daughters. Harry is interested in marketing, literature, new ideas, and golf. Harry Kafka is available for lectures and seminars on a variety of subjects concerning the marketing and sales of accounting services as well as creating added value. HDK
